Overview
The purpose of this project is to create a website for an eBooks store.
Ebooks are the way to go. They are compact, accessible everywhere, affordable and most importantly environmentally friendly. It eliminates the paper printing process. It saves printing cost for the publisher and makes eBooks cheaper than regular paber printed books. Around 2.2 million books are published every year and that takes approximately 3 million trees.
Ebooks can be shared between different devices like eReaders, smartphones, tablets and computers. While travelling eBooks are great as they save a lot of space in your bag.
Ebooks support read aloud feature. When you are busy doing your other favorite activities, for example like knitting or painting, you can listen to the book you are fascinated of.
Our website allows everyone to browse and see the books available for purchase. In order to make a purchase, one has make an account for himself and log in to it.
Admins can sign in and add new books to the selection. They are also able to update existing books and if necessary, remove them from the store.
Our projects backend is realized using Spring Boot and frontend is done with Vue.
