Development story
Retro Links
From the start, our development has been quite effective and smooth. We divided our responsibilities as there are three main parts of application: back-end, front-end and deploy, so in our team each member was responsible for one of them. This helped us to work effectively, but at the same time we were vulnerable to the bus factor.
Ideas and tasks were thought out and made quickly. Core functionality was ready in 3-4 weeks from semester start. Part 1 went quite well. In the deploy part, other university courses were taking our time, and there was also a lack of experience in that field. Due to that part 2 didn’t go so well. Now we have finished part 3. As in start, we made a plan, created tasks and each member started doing their part.
During developing all three parts, we stayed in close touch with team members and our mentor. Weekly stand-ups helped us to organize and plan work well. We also kept in touch and were available for each other during other times to discuss problems that had occurred and plan things that we had not thought about during stand-up.
